From our meeting location at CPI headquarters, we will hop in our 12-passenger van and travel out to our own Apalachicola Lowlands Preserve, making stops along the way. While the longleaf pine ecosystem will be our overall focus, we also will be zooming in on unique habitats such as pitcher plant bogs, ephemeral wetlands, and blackwater streams. Get up close and personal with amphibians, reptiles, invertebrates, and wildflowers galore...including some of the threatened and endangered species that call our Preserve home.

COVID Protocol: CPI adheres to CDC guidelines. For the safety and comfort of all participants, we ask that all participants be fully vaccinated, boosted and obviously asymptomatic. We hope to be maskless in the van, but we will make a gametime decision on whether to mask up in the van as per current CDC guidelines/transmission rates. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us prior to registration.

Cancellation Policy: If we have to cancel for some reason, you will receive a refund in the form of a credit for another trip or a full refund. We will notify you if we are fully booked and have a wait list. After that point, you will only receive a cancellation refund if we fill your spot on our trip.
