From our meeting location at CPI headquarters (46 Kinsey Road, Crawfordville), we will hop in our 12-passenger van and travel out to our own Apalachicola Lowlands Preserve, making stops along the way. While the longleaf pine ecosystem will be our overall focus, we also will be zooming in on unique habitats such as pitcher plant bogs, ephemeral wetlands, and blackwater streams. Get up close and personal with amphibians, reptiles, invertebrates, and wildflowers galore...including some of the threatened and endangered species that call our Preserve home.

The $75 fee includes transportation, snacks, and a guide with with over 30 years experience as an ecologist and outdoor educator. Proceeds go towards our efforts to preserve the biodiversity of the southeastern coastal plain through research and education.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations will be refunded if made 48 hours or more before trip. You will receive a refund in the form of a credit for another trip or a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours of the trip will be refunded only if we are able to fill your spot on our trip.
