Paddle the Wakulla by Moonlight
Join us for an almost full-moon paddle on the lower Wakulla River. We will meet at the St. Marks River public boat launch, adjacent to San Marcos de Apalache Historic State Park in St. Marks, FL. Florida history abounds from our launch site which is the strategic and majestic confluence of two world-class first magnitude spring runs. We will paddle up the Wakulla River, and then back down her as the sun sets, and the nearly full moon reveals herself. She will light our way as we drift and paddle back down this iconic spring run. We will spend about 4 hours, depending on how fast we want to paddle...so end time is an -ish. This trip is limited to 8 people. The $65 cost includes boats, safety equipment, and natural history guide, and complimentary beverages.
CPI's president, Ryan Means will be your expert guide. No natural history topic will be off the table for discussion. And when the stars come out, we will certainly converse about the Cosmos!
